CODE OF ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

Of The Pure Energy Healing Method

INTRODUCTION

All Practitioners who have completed a Certificate Course with the Pure Energy Healing Academy have agreed to the following Codes of Ethics and Practices. If they do not choose to abide by these conducts they are not practicing the Pure Energy Healing method. This Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice is in the process of constant development and will be updated as necessary.

PURPOSE

1. To establish a high standard of practice of Pure Energy Healing; and to maintain the integrity of the Pure Energy Healing method

2. To establish and maintain standards of ethics and practice relating to the conduct of Pure Energy Healing Practitioners worldwide and their relationship with the public at large.

3. To inform and protect Members of the public seeking and/or using services from Pure Energy Healing Practitioners.

 

ETHICAL PRINCIPLES – INTEGRITY, RESPECT AND TRUST

The Pure Energy Healing Academy holds the following fundamental ethical principles, which all certified Practitioners will endeavour to uphold.

• To work with integrity, impartiality and respect for all individuals. All professional relationships and interactions will be ethical and non-exploitative.

• The highest standards of practice must be observed.

• Confidentiality must be respected.

• A non-forced approach must always be respected.

• A healing session is given only upon request and not forced onto any individual. Force could be a direct or indirect offering of a healing  session where the potential client is made to believe that they need the healing; or that there is something wrong; or that they should take this offer because it’s a “free gift”.

 

CODES OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

1. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must never practice Pure Energy Healing when they are not completely healthy in body, mind and spirit.

2. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must never work under the influence of medication, alcohol or any illegal substances.

3. The Pure Energy Healing Practice does not include any other practice. Pure Energy Healing is not a practice of mediumship; trance mediumship; or direct attunement to different dimensions; and it is not any other spiritual or healing practice such as reiki or pranic healing or others. Pure Energy Healing Practice is not a combination of multiple alternative practices. The Pure Energy Healing Academy does not discourage or encourage any alternative practices, it simply states what Pure Energy Healing is and is not.

4. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must never claim to ‘cure’.

5. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must never slander medical treatment or make suggestions about or give medical advice to their clients.

6. Unless a Practitioner holds legal and appropriate medical qualifications, Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must never use titles or descriptions to give the impression of being medically qualified and must make it clear to their clients that they are not medical professionals and do not purport to have their knowledge or skills.

7. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must not countermand instructions or prescriptions given by a doctor.

8. If appropriate, your client could be advised to consult their GP in a gentle and non-aggressive approach that does not create a fearful situation for your client. Since it is legal to refuse medical treatment, no client can be forced to consult a doctor. A Pure Energy Healing Practitioner may suggest that it would be advisable to seek an allopathic diagnosis but should not attach a medical name to the perceived condition.

9. A client should never be advised to discontinue prescribed medication without consulting their doctor.

10. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must not advise a particular course of medical treatment, such as to undergo an operation or to take specific drugs. It must be left to the client to make his/her own decision in the light of medical advice.

11. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must never give a medical diagnosis to a client in any circumstances, this being the responsibility of a registered medical practitioner. Pure Energy Healing does not take the place of conventional medical treatment.

12. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners should be empathic, supportive and positive, thus encouraging uplift in the client’s mental outlook, and a belief in a progression towards good health practices.

13. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must never recommend multiple/follow-up bookings for their clients; it should always be the client who decides when and how many sessions they feel they need.

14. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners should refrain from making judgments upon the choices made by clients and the way in which clients choose to conduct their lives.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY

1. All Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must ensure that they comply with the Data Protection Act.

2. All Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must NEVER sell or transfer their clients database information to another Practitioner.

3. If a Pure Energy Healing Practitioner believes an individual intends to harm or abuse a child, or learns of any terrorist activity then the confidentiality guidelines are overridden. The Pure Energy Healing Practitioner is obliged by law to report this to the appropriate authorities.

 

PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS – BOUNDARIES

1. The relationship between Pure Energy Healing Practitioner and client should be of the highest professional standard. Due diligence of care, skill and integrity should be demonstrated at all times.

2. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must not exploit their clients/students financially, sexually, emotionally, spiritually or in any other way.

3. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must not request the removal of clothing except for coat and footwear.

4. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners shall be without judgment concerning race, colour, creed, gender or sexual orientation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SELF

1. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners have a responsibility to themselves to maintain their own professionalism; health; well being; personal hygiene and cleanliness of their healing environment. They are advised to monitor their own personal functioning and to seek help and/or withdraw from giving Pure Energy Healing if they need to tend to their own well being and take time to self heal.

2. A Pure Energy Healing Practitioner shall be aware of their own professional limitations and refer a client elsewhere when the need demands.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES TO OTHERS

1. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners shall seek a good relationship and work in a co-operative manner with other healthcare professionals, recognizing and respecting their particular contribution within the healthcare team, irrespective of whether they work from an allopathic or complementary perspective.

2. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners will not undermine a client’s faith in any other form of treatment and shall respect and support the client’s choices.

3. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must not attend women in childbirth or give them Pure Energy Healing for one month thereafter unless they hold an appropriate qualification in midwifery or unless the client, in consultation with a practising midwife or a Registered Medical Practitioner requests their services.

4. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners shall at all times conduct themselves with due diligence in their relations with all people whilst conducting their professional practice.

 

SOLICITING OF CLIENTS

Pure Energy Healing Practitioners shall not encourage clients away from other professional colleagues.

 

PURE ENERGY HEALING IN HOSPITALS

1. The Hospital is responsible for the patient.

2. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners may only give Pure Energy Healing to patients in hospitals with permission from the patient, or the person authorized to make decisions on their behalf, and the person responsible for their medical care.

3. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners shall not give the impression that they are a medical professional or a member of hospital staff.

4. Where permission is given to provide Pure Energy Healing on the ward, this must be carried out without intrusion or inconvenience to other patients and staff.

5. If other patients request treatment, the permission of the ward charge nurse, nursing officer (and if relevant, the patient’s doctor) must first be obtained.

6. Pure Energy Healing Practitioners must never undermine the patient’s faith in hospital treatment or regime.

 

PREMISES

All Pure Energy Healing Practitioners shall ensure that their working conditions are suitable for the safe and effective practice of Pure Energy Healing.

 

ADVERTISING/PUBLIC STATEMENTS

1. Advertising must be discreet and dignified in tone. It shall not contain any claim to a cure or mention any disease. It shall be confined to drawing attention to the therapy available, the qualifications of the Pure Energy Healing Practitioner and offering general information regarding Pure Energy Healing.

2. The Pure Energy Healing Academy Logo is only used and belongs to the Pure Energy Healing Academy.

3. The Pure Energy Healing logo may not be used on certificates issued by anyone other than the Pure Energy Healing Academy.

4. The Pure Energy Healing logo may not be used on any signage, banners, social media networks, advertising or stationery of a Pure Energy Healing Practitioner without receiving the express written consent form, from the Pure Energy Healing Academy and it’s directors.

 

WORLD WIDE PURE ENERGY HEALING ACADEMY – DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES

1. All Certified Pure Energy Healing Practitioners will follow and abide by decisions made under the disciplinary procedures of the Pure Energy Healing Academy.

2. The primary concern of the Pure Energy Healing Academy shall be to protect the public and to uphold the reputation of the organization and its members. The Pure Energy Healing Academy reserves the right to immediately dissociate, without any notice, from the Certified Pure Energy Healing Practitioner who is deemed to be in breach of the Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.

3. The Pure Energy Healing Academy is not associated with and is not responsible for the conduct of any Certified Pure Energy Healing Practitioners.
